A simple still life using the shapes from Kandinsky’s ‘Circle, Square, Triangle’ test as building blocks to create a new image that is totally unrelated to the original forms. Influenced by the Bauhaus idea of creating an image as honestly as possible, reducing unnecessary lines, shapes and textures.
I wanted to remake the classic painted still life so that it followed the techniques set out by the Bauhaus movement, which Kandinsky was a follower of.
